Day 2 Texas

It took all day but we made it through Texas. Spent the night in Las Cruses NM. Interstate 10 had construction in all the major cities and it was closed for a section in El Paso and at 11 pm on a Saturday there was way to many cars on the road. Not a fun drive at the end. These people don’t go to sleep to early do they?.It was 105 at 6 pm and 96 at 11 pm.. They should title, Texas, the Long Drive State. At the hotel the check in person said that Texas is the Orange Cone state and that is their state flower.
We saw 1 state trooper in 900 miles. The speed limit was 80 and for the first time I could not drive fast enough. The Sunset was very nice over the desert.
