Posted on September 4, 2012 by JS-Blogging
We went to Calvary Chapel in Driggs Idaho ( Teton Valley) today, they have a small church but are growing each week. There was also a couple from Orlando attending but we did not get to meet them. The associate pastor was Jim Hardee and his sweet wife was Lea. It was a very nice service and thank you for your hospitality after the service. Our Prayers are with you and your family.
Day 24 Travel To Yellowstone

Today is Sunday and I started the day at the Mormon Barn at 6 to see if I could get any better shots than the day before and Cheryl stayed at the Hotel in Jackson and got some extra sleep. Getting up early is not my idea of fun but I did it anyway. It was a cold and foggy morning in the Tetons so getting a great shot was out. So I worked on fog photos. I think they turned out so so, (not good and not bad). I did meet a
man from New Hampshire who was taking photos with a Hasselblad Digital camera and I got to taking to him about photography, he is teaching a class next week and has a lot of his work in galleries in the west.
After returning from the morning shoot we decided to move on to Yellowstone as the weather was not improving. We decided to find a Calvary Chapel in the area and go to Church to thank the Lord for his many blessing and keeping us safe on our journey. There was a Calvary Chapel in the Teton Valley about an hour away so off we went. We had no idea that getting there would mean going over a mountain on a road at a 10% grade so our van was not happy.
At Church we met the associate pastor and his wife Jim and Lea afterword we continued North
We found the cheapest hotel in West Yellowstone, the Yellowstone Country Inn, got settled and headed for the park. We saw a pair of bald eagles, a bull elk and a bison and the weather was not bad. We drove up to Mammoth Hot Springs and were greeted by a group of Elk in the center of town, kinda cool. On the way home we saw a shooting star and that was a great way to end our day.
